support groups

there for each other

SNAPS (Special Needs and Parent Support) is a support group ran by parents for parents and families of children with special needs.

This is a support group for parents and carers of children with speech and language difficulties and delays. The programme helps parents to support their child with early language development.

This is a support group for parents who sometimes struggle to manage aspects of raising young children.

This 5 week course covers common issues such as; behaviour, mealtimes, bedtimes, toiletting and dummies.

Each year, we encourage parents to get involved in the life of the school and help us to raise funds, which ultimately are spent on special things for the children. These are usually seasonal or celebratory events throughout the year that are fun and enjoyable for the children, families and community as a whole, such as a Halloween Disco, Easter Sponsor and Summer Fayre.

The AMIGOS are invited into school to meet with Becky or Nichola at the beginning of each term to share ideas, discuss possibilities and make plans. The more parental support we have, the better the events and the bigger the events, the more we raise for the children. So, if becoming an AMIGO is something you would like to know more about, please pop in.

Being an AMIGO is also a lovely way to meet friends and get to know each other. The kettle is always on with chocolate biscuits at the ready! We'd love to welcome you to our group.
