celebrating success

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. Ofsted regulate and inspect schools and colleges to seek improvement in the service. They carry out large number of inspections and regulatory visits in England and publish their findings on their government website.

Wingate Community Nursery School has been judged as OUTSTANDING by Ofsted for over 26 years, across 9 consecutive inspections; 1996, 1999, 2003, 2005, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2017 and 2022. We are extremely proud to have upheld this outstanding rating for so long and strive to maintain this at all times.

We were delighted to welcome Chris Smith and Asa Britton, our two HMI Ofsted Inspectors, in January 2022.

Investors in People

The Investors in People accreditation is something our school has been committed to for many years, holding the silver award until last year, when we progressed to GOLD! We are as proud of this award, as we are the Ofsted outstanding award, because we know that it is our people that make us who we are and what we are today.

Investors in Children

Our school is assessed by Investors in Children on an annual basis and continue to hold this award that shows how much value we place on the children's voice and how much our school invest in the children themselves.
